Every once in awhile something comes along which makes you wonder why it wasn’t already done. In this case, greyghostoutlet.com is one of those things. We have all seen online overstock places for clothing, but now we have one for the tactical side of things. Greyghostoutlet.com is a clearing house for manufacturers, and it looks like its going to be a winning deal for consumers as well. We found out about this a couple weeks ago, and I placed and received an order between then and now.
What I received was a Tactical Tailor Assault Pack. With dreams of airsoft junk my typical cop paranoia kicked in, and I called over to Tactical Tailor to find out what the story was. The story is pretty simple, Tactical Tailor is using GreyGhostOutlet.com in the manner we mentioned above. In my case, the black pack was a contract overrun which Tactical Tailor had made to go to Afghanistan. The requirements were for a light weight pack, with a main pocket, medium pocket, front pocket, and hydration bladder. There are two covered openings on top for radio or drinking tube. This lighter weight version does have thinner shoulder and padding than my other Tactical Tailor pack, but nothing that will make me cry or loose sleep.

So I ended up with a quality pack that wasn’t airsoft, or some imported knockoff which made me pretty happy. The original price from Tac Tailor shows to have been $145, and to be honest, I wouldn’t have bought it at that price when I have so many other packs already. However, at 60% off, I was looking at $43.50, and at that price, its tempting to pick up a few more. With Christmas right around the corner, and me not having bought anything for anyone, I have resigned myself to the idea that this pack is going to go to a buddy.
With the launch of Greyghostoutlet.com, there are a few manufacturers involved, Tactical Tailor, Uncle Mikes and Wiley-X were a few of the names that caught my eye. I kicked around the idea of picking up new shooting glasses, but they were already gone by the time I received the pack and figured out it was solid gear that was being sold.
Quality gear, quick delivery, and deep discounts have earned these guys a bookmark on my computer. If you can live with last years model, old colors, or contract overruns, its worth checking it out. I’ll be checking back on a regular basis to see what other treasures I can’t live without.
