Much like other parts of the government funded by non-tax sources \u2015 the golf course at your local installation that stays open via membership fees, for instance \u2015 these folks will remain on the job.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">VA outlined its shutdown contingency plans <a href=\"https:\/\/www.blogs.va.gov\/VAntage\/43654\/va-contingency-plan-2017\/\" target=_blank>here<\/a> (read more about them <a href=\"https:\/\/www.navytimes.com\/veterans\/2018\/01\/19\/va-could-weather-a-government-shutdown-better-than-most-other-departments\/\" target=_blank>here<\/a>). The chart notes 782 loan guaranty workers will remain on the job, with zero expected to face furloughs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That\u2019s not the case for other VA positions \u2015 IT and human resources, for instance \u2015 so it\u2019s safe to assume some delays could result.
