A Marine from the Washington-based silent drill platoon was shot and killed Saturday while on leave in his hometown of Boise, Idaho.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lance Cpl. Davis Mosqueda, 20, was at an apartment in Boise, Idaho, with a group of friends when the suspect, Devon Arnold, showed up, a statement from the Boise police said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mosqueda had left the apartment just after 1 a.m. to check on his friends when he was shot several times, according to the local police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t believe it, I still don\u2019t believe [it],\u201d Monica Mouw, the Marine\u2019s mother told KTVB7<\/a>. \u201cHe came in on the 23rd and he spent the last few days playing video games with his brothers so I was positive they had made a mistake and that it was someone else.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\t
