On the evening of Aug. 1, Cpl. David Shuff was riding his Yamaha motorcycle through the Philadelphia streets when he at \u201chigh speed\u201d collided with a car trying to turn into a parking lot from the opposite lane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shuff, 27 from Bensalem, Pennsylvania, \u201csustained severe body trauma\u201d and was rushed to nearby Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:10 p.m., according to the Philadelphia Police Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The case is currently under investigation, but so far no charges or arrests have been made, the police said in a Monday evening email.<\/p>\n\n\n
