The U.S. Digital Service\u2019s latest report to Congress<\/a> features many successes for 2017. But according to Marvo Dolor, deputy executive director of the Digital Service at Veterans Affairs, long-standing success will come from the program\u2019s ability to integrate itself with a diverse range of agencies and affect real cultural change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In its 2017 report, released Tuesday, the USDS pointed to two completed and several ongoing projects as evidence of the program\u2019s impact. Dolor said she is also seeing a positive shift in the relationship her team at the VA is having on the larger agency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFolks come to us with questions, they like the work that we\u2019re doing, they want to partner with us. They think of us as VA and not as a separate entity, which is very important when you\u2019re talking about culture change and having a lasting impact,\u201d Dolor said in an interview with Federal Times. \u201cThe goal is not to create a digital service that lasts for decades, but that the effects and the impacts last for decades and even centuries.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\t
