Col. Aaron C. Locher was<a href=\"https:\/\/www.marinecorpstimes.com\/news\/your-marine-corps\/2018\/08\/24\/marine-infantry-commander-preparing-for-norway-deployment-sacked\/\" target=\"_blank\"> relieved of his command<\/a> by Brig. Gen. Bradley S. James, commanding general of the 4th Marine Air Wing, \u201cdue to a loss in confidence Locher\u2019s ability to continue leading Marines and Sailors of Marine Transport Squadron Belle Chasse,\u201d Lt. Col. Theodore Wong, a spokesman for Marine Forces Reserve-New Orleans, said in an emailed statement to Marine Corps Times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Corps provided no further details regarding the firing of Locher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The transportation squadron out of New Orleans is tasked with transporting VIPs and cargo in various combat theaters across the globe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"573\" height=\"714\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/161031-M-ZZ999-101.JPG.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-42519\" srcset=\"https:\/\/one.sightlinemg.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/161031-M-ZZ999-101.JPG.jpg 573w, https:\/\/one.sightlinemg.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/161031-M-ZZ999-101.JPG.jpg?resize=241,300 241w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 573px) 100vw, 573px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Lt. Col. Aaron Locher. (Marine Corps)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">VMR Belle Chasse operates the UC-35, which is a Cessna transportation aircraft, and the UC-12W.
