McFarland took the case under advisement after the hearing. If he finds in favor of the state, Zhukovskyy\u2019s license could remain suspended for up to seven years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One former Jarheads member injured in the crash spoke out against restoring the license.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYou\u2019re all in jeopardy of this guy driving again,\u201d said Manny Ribeiro, speaking with reporters after Wednesday\u2019s hearing. \u201cI know what happened that day. I was there.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The manslaughter acquittal at the time <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/sports-new-hampshire-60701508a7bd6bef273de5e907cf326d\" target=\"_blank\">drew strong comments<\/a> from Gov. He said descriptions of where the tires were at the time showed Zhukovskyy didn\u2019t see the motorcycle in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe impact happened. He jams on his breaks,\u201d Hilts said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hilts questioned Zhukovskyy extensively about his drug use based on the police interviews. The attorney said in his closing statement that Zhukovskyy did everything possible to not answer his questions about drug use and impairment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hilts also brought up prior accidents Zhukovskyy was involved in, including one 18 days before the Randolph crash. He said both Zhukovskyy and the lead biker, Albert \u201cWoody\u201d Mazza Jr., materially contributed to the crash. Connecticut officials alerted the <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/transportation-us-news-homicide-new-hampshire-massachusetts-cf9e5facb9ca498e936d5d75bbdeff20\" target=\"_blank\">Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles<\/a>, but Zhukovskyy\u2019s license wasn\u2019t suspended due to a backlog of out-of-state notifications about driving offenses. The Connecticut case is pending.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detained Zhukovskyy after the 2022 verdict, citing previous convictions of drug possession, driving with a suspended license, furnishing false information and larceny. Zhukovskyy was taken from a New Hampshire county jail to a federal detention facility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Zhukovskyy\u2019s immigration attorney requested asylum for his client. In February 2023, <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/politics-drug-crimes-accidents-new-hampshire-68419898f5b4283c7fa380b5171c92cd\" target=\"_blank\">a judge ordered Zhukovskyy\u2019s deportation.<\/a> But it\u2019s unclear under how he could be sent to a country at war with Russia.
