PALM BEACH, Fla. \u2014 President Donald Trump said Tuesday that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un may be planning to give him \u201ca nice present\u201d such as a \u201cbeautiful vase\u201d for Christmas rather than a missile launch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The president was asked what he will do if North Korea does conduct a long-range missile test.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The North has threatened to take unspecified action<\/a> if sanctions are not eased by the end of the year, and speculation has centered on the possibility of a new missile test, possibly of an intercontinental ballistic missile capable of delivering a nuclear warhead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The North has said that its \u201cChristmas gift\u201d to the United States will depend on Washington\u2019s actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\t
