A lot of them are in their early stages of sobriety, so any dramatic changes could make them slip back,&#8221; Kagan said.<br\/><\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe allowfullscreen=\"\" border=\"0\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"100%\" mozallowfullscreen=\"\" scrolling=\"no\" src=\"http:\/\/assets.scrippsdigital.com\/cms\/videoIframe.html?&amp;host=www.abc15.com&amp;title=ADOT%20forcing%20homeless%20veterans%20off%20Phoenix%20property&amp;vid=58cf28f58dd15d22273d4794&amp;purl=\/news\/region-phoenix-metro\/central-phoenix\/veterans-in-phoenix-forced-to-move-homeless-camp-off-of-state-owned-property&amp;story=1&amp;ex=1&amp;s=knxv\" webkitallowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The veterans moved to a temporary location<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">relocated to 19th\u00a0Avenue and Camelback Road<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u200b, said ABC15.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;We\u2019re still in search for a permanent, private property\u2026preferably veteran-owned, that\u2019s wanting to help homeless vets and is willing to let us set up camp,&#8221; Kagan said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ADOT released the following statement to ABC15:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8220;The State of Arizona is committed to protecting veterans and helping break the cycle of homelessness. Since this camp moved onto ADOT property on Dec. 6, the state&#8217;s desire has been to assist the individuals in this area by helping to find them shelter and assistance. With that goal in mind, teams from the state have visited on multiple occasions to offer assistance to veterans and others.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The
