{"id":74858,"date":"2026-01-23T20:24:58","date_gmt":"2026-01-23T20:24:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/one.sightlinemg.com\/marinecorpstimes\/uncategorized\/2026\/01\/23\/select-marines-who-reenlist-could-be-eligible-for-a-50000-bonus\/"},"modified":"2026-08-08T16:52:56","modified_gmt":"2026-08-08T16:52:56","slug":"select-marines-who-reenlist-could-be-eligible-for-a-50000-bonus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/one.sightlinemg.com\/marinecorpstimes\/news\/your-marine-corps\/2026\/01\/23\/select-marines-who-reenlist-could-be-eligible-for-a-50000-bonus\/","title":{"rendered":"Select Marines who reenlist could be eligible for a $50,000 bonus"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.marinecorpstimes.com\/news\/pentagon-congress\/2026\/01\/20\/us-completes-withdrawal-from-al-asad-airbase-iraq-says\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"\" title=\"https:\/\/www.marinecorpstimes.com\/news\/pentagon-congress\/2026\/01\/20\/us-completes-withdrawal-from-al-asad-airbase-iraq-says\/\">Marines<\/a> who choose to reenlist in fiscal year 2027 could be eligible for up to $50,000 in selective retention bonus kickers, the service announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Those with a current contract expiration between Oct. 1, 2026 and Sept. 30, 2027 could be eligible for the Selective Retention Bonus Program and the Broken Service SRB Program, according to a recent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marines.mil\/News\/Messages\/Messages-Display\/Article\/4385746\/fiscal-year-2027-selective-retention-bonus-program-and-fiscal-year-2027-broken\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"\" title=\"https:\/\/www.marines.mil\/News\/Messages\/Messages-Display\/Article\/4385746\/fiscal-year-2027-selective-retention-bonus-program-and-fiscal-year-2027-broken\/\">MarAdmin<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The statement highlights the service\u2019s priority in retention goals for the Marine Corps\u2019 enlisted force. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt is imperative the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marinecorpstimes.com\/news\/your-military\/2026\/01\/21\/marine-veteran-dies-in-security-incident-on-camp-lejeune\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"\" title=\"https:\/\/www.marinecorpstimes.com\/news\/your-military\/2026\/01\/21\/marine-veteran-dies-in-security-incident-on-camp-lejeune\/\">Marine Corps<\/a> builds upon past successes and continues to prioritize retaining the best and most talented Marines,\u201d the memo reads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Marines who reenlist on the day of or following the release of the message are eligible for the SRB for FY27, per the message. The service is offering seven SRB kickers in that fiscal year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some of the kickers are meant as incentives for Marines to make lateral moves into the cyber, special operations and drone technician fields, among other specialties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMarines who execute a LM with reenlistment into one of these PMOSs for 84 months of additional obligated service will rate a $50,000 incentive in addition to the PMOS bonus,\u201d the message states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Corps is offering other kickers for lateral moves into certain jobs listed in the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The release lists the full eligibility requirements, kicker amounts for each program and MOS bonus eligibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The move echoes a similar one made by the Marine Corps Reserve in November 2025 in which select personnel were eligible for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.militarytimes.com\/news\/your-military\/2025\/11\/20\/selected-reserve-marines-eligible-for-up-to-20000-retention-bonus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"\" title=\"https:\/\/www.militarytimes.com\/news\/your-military\/2025\/11\/20\/selected-reserve-marines-eligible-for-up-to-20000-retention-bonus\/\">one-time pay bumps<\/a> for extending their service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a
