President Donald Trump reportedly had a "positive call" with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Saturday. The two allegedly promised to cooperate on destroying ISIS in Syria and to repair U.S. and Russian relations. The discussion was part of a diplomatic effort to connect over the phone with foreign leaders from countries including Japan, Germany, France and Australia. A statement from the Kremlin’s office solidified the ties between the two, saying the leaders "agreed to maintain regular personal contacts." Trump’s close relationship with Putin has been concerning for defense agencies, who found evidence of Russian hacking and meddling in the U.S. elections.
