Marine Sgt. Enrique Treviño, 26, challenged himself to do 1 million pushups in 2012 to raise money and awareness for the Wounded Warrior Project.
As of Monday (April 2), Treviño had ticked off 255,306 pushups. That’s 1,230 pushups ahead of schedule, he said.

So how’s it going?
“I have to heat and ice my wrist and shoulders now as the pain is beginning to sink in,” Treviño told me in an email. “I’m now using supplements for my joints as I’m really trying to avoid injury.”
So far, Treviño has raised $7,680 of his $10,000 goal.
“Every day as I push through and it gets hard, I just think of [supporters] and how I really don’t want to let them down,” Treviño said.
