Before the movie, we see the trailers. And before the GI Film Festival, we fight the Trailer Wars.

Fans of military cinema will have to wait until late May for the festival to select this year’s “Best of Fest” honorees, but voting is underway to choose the best trailer among 16 selected by GIFF officials. Head-to-head votes will run throughout April and into May, with the winner announced shortly before the festival kicks off.

Today’s battle: “The Space” versus “At Ease.”

Scroll down to see the trailers and to vote, but don’t delay: The vote ends Friday, when a new Trailer Wars matchup is announced.

Based on an Andy McNab short story, THE SPACE revolves around rookie soldier “Briggsy” on his first tour of Helmand Province. When he witnesses the death of his friend on his first night sortie, he finds help and solace through the advice of Medic, Emma Rankin.
Duncan is a solitary Marine, fresh off a tour from Afghanistan and considering the potential for his life after the Marine Corps. Arriving at his hometown, Duncan is immediately thrust back into the world he left behind. He’s reunited with his loving family: a tight-lipped father, a drastically concerned mother, and a hyped up 12 year-old sister. But there’s only one thing on his mind –– attending his ex-girlfriend’s wedding.
