There are federal laws that protect veterans from discrimination based on those scars, beginning with the Vietnam Era Veterans\u2019 Readjustment Assistance Act of 1974 (VEVRAA) and continuing with things like the Disabled Veterans Affirmative Action Plans (DVAAP) program. While well-intentioned, those laws and others like them can be difficult to parse through.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is an SF-15? What qualifies a disabled veteran with a 5-point preference vs. a 10-point preference? Who or what is the Schedule A Appointing Authority?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
