Vltor says the frequent gripe is that the standard handguard isn&#8217;t long enough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The photograph above shows one handguard extension mounted to a SCAR, adding about two inches of protection near the barrel of the rifle. The second black\u00a0piece lying\u00a0above the SCAR is an even\u00a0longer extension that provides another three inches of handguard on top of the two-inch extension mounted to the weapon pictured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vltor folks say they don&#8217;t have pricing yet on the item, and haven&#8217;t included it in their media kit of 2011
