The arrangement had previously been approved by <a href=\"https:\/\/rebootcamp.militarytimes.com\/education-transition\/education\/2017\/08\/16\/new-purdue-kaplan-online-university-gets-ok-from-indiana-officials\" title=\"\" class=\"\" target=\"_blank\">state<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/rebootcamp.militarytimes.com\/education-transition\/education\/2017\/09\/22\/feds-ok-purdue-acquisition-of-kaplan\" title=\"\" class=\"\" target=\"_blank\">federal<\/a> education officials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis gives us a chance to move forward promptly with a successful start,\u201d Purdue President Mitch Daniels said in the news release. \u201cWe are excited to become part of the Purdue University system and offer working adults a supportive and practical education tailored specifically to them.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The announcement comes 11 months after the university first went public with its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.militarytimes.com\/education-transition\/education\/2017\/04\/28\/purdue-university-acquires-kaplan-a-popular-vet-destination\" title=\"\" class=\"\" target=\"_blank\">plans to acquire Kaplan<\/a>, one of the <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.militarytimes.com\/charts\/military\/2017\/most-popular-ta-colleges\" title=\"\" class=\"\" target=\"_blank\">top enrollers of active-duty military students<\/a> in fiscal 2016. Kaplan\u2019s 30,000 students will be able to maintain their degree programs and current instructors, but they will be receiving diplomas that bear the Purdue name. Additionally, Kaplan President Betty Vandenbosch will become chancellor of the new school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As Military Times previously reported, the schools included in the acquisition are Kaplan\u2019s School of Business and Information Technology, the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, Concord Law School, Open College at Kaplan University, and Kaplan\u2019s
