When Super Bowl fans<\/a> see the unprecedented triple-bomber flyover before the game<\/a> Feb. 7, they won\u2019t just be watching planes fly. They\u2019ll be watching the end result of hundreds of airmen\u2019s coordinated efforts to ensure a tightly choreographed flight is pulled off, right down to the second.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A B-1B from Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota, a B-2 Spirit from Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri, and a B-52 Stratofortress from Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota, will converge and pass over<\/a> Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, during the final notes of the \u201cStar Spangled Banner.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But making sure all three bombers simultaneously nail that \u201ctime-on-target\u201d directly over the stadium will be the tricky part, Maj. Anthony Mascaro, a B-2 instructor pilot and director of the 13th Bomb Squadron\u2019s Mission Training Center, said in a Jan. 28 interview.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s quite the needle to thread. Mascaro said the teams behind all three aircraft have been planning for weeks \u201cto ensure that we\u2019re on the same sheet of music, if you will.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\t
