Col. Chris Hrudka was removed except to say that the regiment commanding officer, Col. Larry Miller, relieved him \u201cdue to a loss of trust and confidence,\u201d Marine spokesman Capt. Andrew Bolla told Marine Corps Times. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMiller based his decision on issues stemming from a command investigation,\u201d Bolla said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The story was first reported by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jdnews.com\/news\/20180129\/few-details-released-after-wounded-warrior-co-relieved-of-duty\" title=\"\" class=\"\" target=\"_blank\">The Daily News of Jacksonville<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two unnamed civilians were also placed on administrative leave and Miller is recommending they be removed from federal service. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThey each have seven days to respond or request an extension,\u201d Bolla explained. \u201cDuring this time, they will have an opportunity to review the investigation Col. Miller has based his decision on.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The assistant deputy commandant for Manpower &amp; Reserve Affairs will review the investigation and the employees\u2019 final responses before coming to any final judgment about the status of their employment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hrudka is pending reassignment to another unit at Camp Lejeune while Wounded Warrior Regiment Executive Officer Lt. Col. Larry Coleman will temporarily take over command of the battalion. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before being assigned to the Wounded Warrior Battalion, Hrudka served as the director of future requirements for U.S. Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe Wounded Warrior Regiment is committed to the care and recovery of our wounded, ill and injured service members and holds our leaders to the highest standards,\u201d Bolla said. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lt.
