Jameson P. Hustek, an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marinecorpstimes.com\/news\/your-marine-corps\/2017\/08\/30\/another-osprey-makes-emergency-landing-in-japan\/\" title=\"\" class=\"\" target=\"_blank\">MV-22 Osprey<\/a> pilot with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marinecorpstimes.com\/news\/your-marine-corps\/2018\/02\/26\/marines-id-navy-doctor-fatally-struck-by-helicopter-tail-rotor-blade\/?fb_comment_id=1600922126664984_1601829979907532\" title=\"\" class=\"\" target=\"_blank\">3rd Marine Air Wing<\/a> in Miramar, California, was informed Oct. 2 of the charges against him, but is contesting the whole thing, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sandiegouniontribune.com\/military\/sd-me-miramar-pilot-20180301-story.html\" title=\"\" class=\"selected-link\" target=\"_blank\">San Diego Union-Tribune<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2015 Hustek allegedly bent his wife\u2019s wrist, threw her and struck her head on multiple occasions. He allegedly also held a knife to her throat, according to a charge sheet obtained by the San Diego Union-Tribune. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Marine pilot is further accused of a string of affairs across multiple states from Nashville, Tennessee to Florida, from 2012-2015. The Nashville affair was described by Marine officials in the charge sheet as \u201cunbecoming of an officer and a gentleman.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Marine officials contend Hustek tried to cover up his crimes through threats and blackmail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In one incident, the aviator forwarded a text to himself \u201cto keep as leverage\u201d over his wife, he told an anonymous witness. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On another occasion, he allegedly threatened to harm a witness. On another, he offered money to a witness in exchange for cooperation, according to documents obtained by the San Diego Union-Tribune through a Freedom of Information Act request. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Marine officials at 3rd MAW would not provide comment on the allegations calling it \u201cinappropriate\u201d while the case is still pending and necessary to \u201cmaintain the integrity of the military judicial system.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hulstek is still serving on active-duty, with a court-martial slated for May 7-11. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Capt.
