These terms are always in opposition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The answer to this problem as we see it now is a powered exoskeleton. You may be following <a href=\"http:\/\/archive.navytimes.com\/article\/20140211\/NEWS\/302110014\/SOCOM-working-Iron-Man-suit\">SOCOM&#8217;s Tactical Assault Light Operator Suit (TALOS)<\/a> program or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.darpa.mil\/Our_Work\/BTO\/Programs\/Warrior_Web.aspx\">DARPA&#8217;s Warrior Web<\/a>. These initiatives seek to bring together ideas and technology from a broad spectrum of private companies, universities, national laboratories and military program offices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.revisionmilitary.com\/\">Revision Military<\/a> is one of the leading partners in this endeavor and has begun to show what looks like the first practical, soldier-wearable system to offer a suite of survivability and lethality features that don&#8217;t sacrifice mobility. Revision&#8217;s video demonstration shows\u00a0 their vision of\u00a0integrated protective soldier systems. We can see how Revision addresses some of the requirements of the TALOS project, namely:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Advanced Armor: Materials to support next generation full-body ballistic protection<\/li><li>Mobility\/Agility: Enhancement platforms such as powered exoskeletons<\/li><li>Situational Awareness (SA)<\/li><li>Light\/noise discipline<\/li><li>Command, Control, Communications &amp; Computers (e.g., conformable and wearable antennae and wearable computers)<\/li><li>Individual soldier combat ready displays including non-visual means of information display<\/li><li>Power generation and management<\/li><li>Thermal management of suit occupant<\/li><li>Embedded Medical monitoring and biomechanical modeling<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure
