charged with stealing from Toys for Tots"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">FRANKFORT, Ky. \u2014 A father and son have been charged with stealing thousands of dollars from a Toys for Tots program in central Kentucky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A grand jury indicted 51-year-old Rusty Gaines and his son, 30-year-old Josh Gaines on charges of stealing more than $40,000 from the state Marine Corps League and the local detachment in Franklin and Anderson Counties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rusty Gaines was the former treasurer of the local group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Investigators <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/1vZPo6w\" title=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/1vZPo6w\">told WKYT-TV in Lexington<\/a> they noticed discrepancies in June, when, after two years, a new treasurer replaced Rusty Gaines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The local detachment of the Marine Corps will not be allowed to participate in this year&#8217;s campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both Rusty and Josh Gaines have been removed as members from the Marine Corps League.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It
