NORFOLK, Va. — A 23-year-old Indiana man has pleaded guilty in Virginia to receiving child pornography.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia says Douglas Lawrence True of Clarksville, Indiana, pleaded guilty in federal court on Monday.
Court records say True was an active-duty sailor who was viewing child pornography aboard a ship’s computer. Officials seized and searched his cellphone, and agents learned he was communicating with minors and enticing them to send explicit photos of themselves.
True is scheduled to be sentenced in 2015. He faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
