BAY CITY, Mich. — A decommissioned Navy destroyer that serves as a floating museum is being transformed into a Halloween attraction for a few weeks.
The Midland Daily News reports that the destroyer Edson is hosting “Ghost Ship III” through Oct. 24 at its home along the Saginaw River.
Visitors to the Saginaw Valley Naval Ship Museum will get to see some of the ship’s interior, where ghosts, goblins and other creatures will offer up some pre-Halloween scares.
The ship is a Bay City-area attraction. Volunteer Mike Corkran is among those who offer tours of the Edson, and he said he suggests a regular tour during daylight hours as well.
“We just want people to come down and see the Edson, no matter what is going on,” Corkran said.
