Gene Black, and the carrier and air-wing are commanded by Capt. Nick Dienna and Capt. John Perrone, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since she last deployed, Truman has undergone a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.navytimes.com\/news\/your-navy\/2017\/07\/21\/uss-truman-heads-to-sea-for-trials-after-leaving-shipyard\/\" title=\"\" class=\"\" target=\"_blank\">yard maintenance<\/a> period that was finished a day ahead of schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The current crew of Truman, meanwhile, has a long way to go to live up to the ship\u2019s record from her last foray overseas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During that 240-day cruise, Truman launched a total of 2,054 combat sorties that encompassed 20,788 flight hours.
