Jennifer Reid was fired as commanding officer of Navy Reserve Center Toledo \u201cdue to a loss of confidence in Reid\u2019s ability to perform her duties,\u201d according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.navyreserve.navy.mil\/News\/Article-View-News\/Article\/2879735\/commanding-officer-of-navy-reserve-center-toledo-relieved\/\" target=\"_blank\">Navy Reserve Force statement<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The command provided not further details regarding reasons for the firing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reid is being reassigned to Navy Region Mid-Atlantic Reserve Component Command Great Lakes. She could not immediately be reached for comment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cmdr. Lee Ann Singleton has been named the interim leader of the Toledo reserve center until a permanent replacement is identified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Formerly known as Navy Operational Support Centers, Navy Reserve centers provide support for reservists while ensuring they are ready to deploy at short notice.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cmdr.
