CORONADO, Calif \u2014 Navy officials say a service member found dead this week at a California base was a Virginia man who first enlisted in 1995.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Navy said in a statement Friday that Chief Personnel Specialist Demond Walker, who had served several tours in Japan, was found Thursday morning<\/a>inside a building complex<\/span> on Naval Air Station North Island in Coronado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Base security officers and the Navy Criminal Investigative Service are investigating the death, but there are no indications of foul play.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
