They are named after top Iranian Gen. This is what they said could happen:<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/a>\n\t<\/aside>\n\t\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The \u201cMartyr Hajj Qassem\u201d surface-to-surface ballistic missile has a 1,400-kilometer (870-mile) range, according to the semi-official Fars news agency. State TV said the \u201cMartyr Abu Mahdi\u201d naval cruise missile has a 1,000-kilometer (620-mile) range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Those ranges, if accurate, would be able to strike U.S. bases across the Middle East, Iran already possess that capability with longer-range missiles but these offer a mid-range option between that nation\u2019s existing arsenal that can also reach Israel as well as Sunni Arab nations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1204\" height=\"1621\" class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Iranian ballistic missiles have been already been used in conflict with the U.S..<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.militarytimes.com\/flashpoints\/2020\/04\/21\/american-troops-had-only-hours-to-react-to-iranian-ballistic-missile-attack-heres-what-they-did\/\" target=_blank>More than 100 U.S. service members<\/a> stationed on two Iraqi airbases at al-Asad and Erbil were treated for traumatic brain injury after an Iranian ballistic missile barrage in response to the killing of Soleimani and al-Muhandis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">State TV said the \u201cMartyr Hajj Qassem\u201d missile was not intercepted by a defense system during a test.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Also on Thursday, Iran unveiled a fourth-generation light turbo-fan engine for its advanced drones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Iran also inaugurated the production line of its domestically produced \u201cOwj\u201d engine for the Iranian-made twin-seat Kowsar fighter jet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Iran routinely unveils technological achievements for its armed forces, its space program and its nuclear efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">President Donald Trump pulled the U.S. out of the nuclear agreement between
