Bush, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/news.usni.org\/2018\/01\/10\/french-air-crews-to-embark-on-uss-george-h-w-bush-in-spring\" title=\"\" class=\"\" target=\"_blank\">USNI News<\/a>, while their own carrier, the FS Charles de Gaulle, completes a mandatory maintenance period. The deployment has the additional goal of international cooperation and building trust among navies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cToday we are 95 percent interoperable,\u201d Capt. Jean-Emmanuel Roux de Luze, French Naval Attach\u00e9 to the U.S., told USNI News. \u201cWe want to demonstrate our ability to integrate with U.S. military services.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s a political move more than a militaristic one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Militarily, the U.S. Navy remains technologically superior. But politically, international missions may benefit from joint operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cDue to its size and power, the U.S. Navy does not really need us and not really need help of other navies,\u201d Rouz de Luze told USNI. \u201cThe French Navy, we know in the future we will work with other navies, so you need to know how to operate with other navies,\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The French aviators may have some difficulty adjusting, though \u2014 the carrier Bush doesn\u2019t feature a single bar for its sailors, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.militarytimes.com\/2015\/12\/28\/beer-beards-and-fresh-baked-bread-aboard-the-french-carrier-charles-de-gaulle\" title=\"\" class=\"\" target=\"_blank\">let alone four.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The aircrew aboard the George H.W.
