A sailor on leave in Utah was flung from a rolling vehicle and killed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Daniella Juliana Casey, 24, was a backseat passenger in a Honda Acura when the car drifted off the southbound ramp connecting Interstate 215 to State Route 21 near West Valley City and began rolling around 2:10 a.m. Monday, Utah Highway Patrol <\/a>officials say.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Casey was ejected and died. The unidentified driver and front seat passenger were transported to a local hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cShe appears to have been the only one in the car who wasn\u2019t wearing a seat belt,\u201d Utah Highway Patrol spokesman Sgt. Nicholas Street told Navy Times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accident investigators are wrapping up their probe into the cause of the deadly crash but Street said initial indications pointed to a case of \u201cdrowsy driving.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No charges have been filed.<\/p>\n\n\n\t
