href=\"https:\/\/www.drugabuse.gov\/publications\/drugfacts\/mdma-ecstasymolly\" target=_blank>ecstasy<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.drugabuse.gov\/publications\/drugfacts\/hallucinogens\" target=_blank>LSD<\/a> to distribute in California late last year, according to charge sheets provided to Navy Times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Currently assigned to the Naval Base San Diego-based mine countermeasures ship <a href=\"https:\/\/www.public.navy.mil\/surfor\/MCM4\/Pages\/default.aspx\" target=_blank>Champio<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.public.navy.mil\/surfor\/MCM4\/Pages\/default.aspx\" target=_blank>n<\/a>, Information Systems Technician 3rd Class Daniel van Dijk imported hundreds of grams of the mood-altering stimulant ecstasy \u201cat or near Queens, New York,\u201d through multiple transactions between Nov. 22 and Dec. 3, military prosecutors wrote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Nov. 26, 2018, he allegedly bought 174 grams of ecstasy online and had it shipped to his mailbox on Naval Base San Diego \u201cwith intent to distribute\u201d the controlled substance, his charge sheets state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Nov. 30 in San Diego, he allegedly possessed another 152 grams of ecstasy and 93 \u201csquares of LSD&#8221; to distribute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the same day, he allegedly put 15 grams of ecstasy into \u201ccapsule form\u201d for the same scheme, according to the legal filings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Dec. 3, he allegedly brought another 58 grams of ecstasy to the base for distribution, prosecutors wrote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Authorities so far have named only one suspected drug deal \u2015 an Oct. 26 incident in which he allegedly sought to \u201cwrongfully distribute some amount\u201d of ecstasy at or near San Diego.<\/p>\n\n\n\t<aside class=\"smg-interstitial-link wp-block-smg-interstitial-link\">\n\t\t<a updated the urinalysis program, retrained those who administer the tests and hiked the frequency of the screenings, according to the Southwest spokesman Kevin Dixon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If found guilty on a single charge of wrongful possession with the intent to distribute, he faces a dishonorable discharge, forfeiture of all pay and allowances and up to 15 years behind bars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through a public affairs officer, van Dijk\u2019s military attorneys declined comment \u201cat this time.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to his military records, van Dijk enlisted on Dec. 15, 2016 and later trained at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.public.navy.mil\/netc\/centers\/ciwt\/IWTCcorrystation\/Default.aspx\" target=_blank>Information Warfare Training Command Corry Station<\/a> in Pensacola, Florida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Originally from New Jersey, he reported to the Champion in late 2017 and became a petty officer on June 16, 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He\u2019s
