Bowe Bergdahl prison time<\/a> for abandoning his post in Afghanistan, endangering military comrades who participated in the lengthy search for him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Army Gen. Robert Abrams, head of U.S. Army Forces Command, approved the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.militarytimes.com\/news\/your-army\/2017\/11\/03\/bergdahl-sentence-dishonorable-discharge-no-prison-time\/\" title=\"\" class=\"\" target=\"_blank\">court-martial sentencing<\/a> handed down last November. Bergdahl was reduced in rank from sergeant to private and ordered to forfeit $1,000 a month in pay for 10 months. Bowe Bergdahl came home in 2014, he was potentially entitled to hundreds of thousands of dollars in pay that accumulated over five years while he was in Taliban captivity in Afghanistan.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/a>\n\t<\/aside>\n\t\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The fine and rank reduction were effective two weeks after the judge\u2019s sentence was delivered.
