The following special and general courts-martial were decided in June, according to a Navy news release issued Tuesday:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Naval District Washington<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25a0 At a special court-martial in Washington, D.C., AT1 James C. Freels pleaded guilty to attempted abusive sexual contacts, aggravated assault and two specifications of assault consummated by a battery. On June 9, the military judge sentenced him to reduction in rank to E-4 and confinement for 89 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Navy Region Mid-Atlantic<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25a0 At a general court-martial in Norfolk, Virginia, AZ3 Ronderrick J. Rhome pleaded guilty to false official statement, wrongful use of cocaine, wrongful use of MDMA (ecstasy), distribution of cocaine, introduction of cocaine onto an installation and assault consummated by a battery. On June 4, the military judge sentenced him to a bad conduct discharge, reduction in rank to E-1, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, and confinement for two years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25a0 At a general court-martial in Groton, Connecticut, an E-3 was tried for sexual assault. On June 13, members returned a verdict of not guilty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25a0 At a general court-martial in Norfolk, MM1 Derrick Domena was tried for willful disobedience, sexual assault, abusive sexual contact and assault. On June 18, the panel of members returned a verdict of not guilty to the charges of sexual assault, abusive sexual contact, and assault but guilty to the charge of willful disobedience. On June 19, the panel of members sentenced him to restriction for 14 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25a0 At a general court-martial in Norfolk, IS2 Darin G. Lopez was tried for sexual assault. On June 25, the military judge returned a verdict of guilty and sentenced him to a bad conduct discharge and confinement for three years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25a0 At a special court-martial in Norfolk, EODC Lyle G. White pleaded guilty to violating a lawful general order. On June 18, the military judge sentenced him to a fine of $10,000 and restriction for 60 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Navy Region Southeast<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25a0 At a general court-martial in Mayport, Florida, an E-5 was tried for rape and sexual assault. On June 5, the panel of members returned a verdict of not guilty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25a0 At a general court-martial in Jacksonville, Florida, Lt. Cmdr. Jordan J. Michelena was tried for conspiracy to commit robbery, aggravated assault and larceny; robbery; aggravated assault; conduct unbecoming an officer; solicitation; receipt of stolen property and communicating a threat. On June 19, the panel of members returned a verdict of guilty to all charges and sentenced him to a dismissal from the service and confinement for 12 months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25a0 At a special court-martial in Jacksonville, MA3 Christopher R. Foster was tried for falling asleep at his post while being posted as a sentry and failure to obey a lawful order. On June 11, the panel of members returned a verdict of not guilty to falling asleep at his post but guilty to failing to obey a lawful order. The panel of members sentenced him to a reprimand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25a0 At a special court-martial in Pensacola, Florida, HMC Eric J. Motz pleaded guilty to violation of lawful general orders, fraternization and obstruction of justice. On June 24, the military judge sentenced him to reduction in rank to E-6, forfeiture of $1,700 per month for two months, a reprimand and hard labor without confinement for 30 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Navy Region Midwest<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25a0 At a special court-martial in Great Lakes, Illinois, HTFA Bryce Wilks pleaded guilty to wrongful distribution and wrongful use of cocaine. On June 9, the military judge sentenced him to a bad conduct discharge, reduction in rank to E-1 and confinement for 75 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Navy Region Northwest<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25a0 At a special court-martial in Bremerton, Washington, ABH2 Logan B. Fox pleaded guilty to false official statements and larceny. On June 30, the military judge sentenced him to a bad conduct discharge, reduction in rank to E-3, a fine of $10,000 and confinement for 250 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Navy Region Southwest<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25a0 At a general court-martial in Lemoore, California, AE1 Juan Leon Jr. was tried for false official statement, larceny and knowingly receiving stolen property. On June 12, the panel of members returned a verdict of guilty to false official statement and larceny. On June 13, the members sentenced him to a bad conduct discharge, reduction in rank to E-1, a fine of $2,300 and confinement for 45 days if the fine is not paid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25a0 At a special court-martial in San Diego, OSSN Nicholas Loverde pleaded guilty to wrongful use of cocaine. On June 18, the military judge sentenced him to reduction in rank to E-2 and confinement for 54 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25a0 At a special court-martial in San Diego, AEC James McDonald pleaded guilty to other sexual misconduct (indecent viewing). On June 23, the military judge sentenced him to a bad conduct discharge, reduction in rank to E-4 and confinement for 250 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25a0 At a special court-martial in San Diego, ATAN Zachary Wagner pleaded guilty to assault consummated by a battery. On June 24, the military judge sentenced him to reduction in rank to E-1, forfeiture of $1,000 per month for three months and confinement for 89 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25a0 At a special court-martial in Lemoore, MMFR Terrell Finley pleaded guilty to breaking restriction. On June 26, the military judge sentenced him to forfeit $1,000 per month for one month and confinement for one month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Navy Region Hawaii<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25a0 At a general court-martial in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, CM3 Adam S. Nelms was tried for sexual assault and adultery. On June 4, a panel of members returned a verdict of guilty to all charges and sentenced him to a bad conduct discharge, reduction in rank to E-1, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, and confinement for five years, eight months and 24 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25a0 At a general court-martial in Pearl Harbor, STS2 Shawn K. Naughton pleaded guilty to assaults consummated by battery. On June 16, the military judge sentenced him to a bad conduct discharge, reduction in rank to E-1, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, and confinement for nine months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25a0 At a general court-martial in Pearl Harbor, CSC Sean M. O’Brien pleaded guilty to attempted indecent acts, sexual harassment, fraternization, abusive sexual contact and indecent acts. On June 30, the military judge sentenced him to a dishonorable discharge, reduction in rank to E-1, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, and confinement for six years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Navy Region Japan<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25a0 At a general court-martial in Yokosuka, Japan, ET3 Robert J. Short was tried for sexual assault. On June 6, a panel of members found him guilty and sentenced him to a dishonorable discharge, reduction in rank to E-1, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, and confinement for 36 months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25a0 At a general court-martial in Yokosuka, AM3 Eric Carrizales pleaded guilty to abusive sexual contact and taking pictures of the same act. On June 26, the military judge sentenced him to a dishonorable discharge, reduction in rank to E-1, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, a fine of $100,000 and confinement for seven years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25a0 At a special court-martial in Yokosuka, SN Anthony Garcia pleaded guilty to hazing and assault. On June 9, the military judge sentenced him to a reduction in rank to E-1, a fine of $7,000 and confinement for 150 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Navy Region Europe, Africa, Southwest Asia<\/p>\n\n\n\n
