According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcsmypov.com\/TurnIn\">website<\/a> for International Auto Logistics, the DoD contractor in charge of shipping service members\u2019 vehicles to and from overseas, service members must provide documented proof that there are no open recalls before their vehicle will be accepted for shipment at a vehicle processing center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Those <a href=\"https:\/\/www.militarytimes.com\/home-hq\/2018\/03\/08\/pcs-season-5-ways-your-family-can-mentally-prepare\/\">prepping for a military move<\/a> can enter their vehicle identification number <a href=\"https:\/\/vinrcl.safercar.gov\/vin\/\">at this website<\/a> to see whether their car needs work. Service members can print a report, which serves as documented proof on the status of recalls associated with their vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Manufacturers are required to repair the defective item(s) that brought about the recall \u201cwithout charge and within a reasonable time,\u201d per National Highway Traffic Safety Administration guidance.
