Roosevelt declared Dec. 7, 1941, as \u201ca date which will live in infamy\u201d and the attack led to the U.S. entry into World War II.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ceremony took place at Coaling\u2019s town hall <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tuscaloosanews.com\/story\/news\/2021\/11\/13\/town-coaling-honors-brothers-who-died-1941-attack-pearl-harbor\/6345819001\/\" target=\"_blank\">a day after the nationwide celebration of Veterans Day<\/a>. Nicolas Britto, a retired Army lieutenant colonel, hosted the ceremony with town officials, local veterans and descendants of the Jones brothers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Coaling Mayor Gary Averett said the dedication ceremony was special to him and the entire town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOur town has a lot of veterans located in it. We\u2019re pretty much a family type community.
