Trump)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Members of Congress were well on their way to passing a vote Wednesday that would make President Donald Trump just the third president in U.S. history to be impeached when the embattled leader, speaking to a crowd full of ardent supporters in Battle Creek, Michigan, took a detour from his talking points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No, not to dive into a scathing critique of the impeachment proceedings, but rather to discuss the exciting capabilities of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter and the aesthetically pleasing qualities of the aircraft\u2019s pilots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe have the F-35s \u2014 it\u2019s stealth \u2014 and I was at one of the areas where they\u2019re displaying it and I went up to the pilots and, honestly, they\u2019re better looking than Tom Cruise,\u201d the president said. <\/p>\n\n\n\t<aside class=\"smg-interstitial-link wp-block-smg-interstitial-link\">\n\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/one.sightlinemg.com\/militarytimes\/off-duty\/military-culture\/2019\/12\/16\/todays-exercise-is-dogfighting-explosive-new-top-gun-trailer-is-here\/\" class=\"smg-interstitial-link__inner\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"smg-interstitial-link__media\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"126\" src=\"https:\/\/one.sightlinemg.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Screen-Shot-2019-07-18-at-5.12.42-PM.png.png?w=300\" class=\"smg-interstitial-link__image wp-post-image\" alt=\"\" \/>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"smg-interstitial-link__content\">\n\t\t\t\t<span class=\"smg-interstitial-link__kicker\">Related<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"smg-interstitial-link__title\">\u2018Today\u2019s exercise is dogfighting\u2019 \u2014 explosive new \u2018Top Gun\u2019 trailer is here<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"smg-interstitial-link__excerpt\">The second trailer for the long-awaited sequel has arrived.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/a>\n\t<\/aside>\n\t\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cGood movie,\u201d he added, likely referencing \u201cTop Gun,\u201d which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.militarytimes.com\/off-duty\/military-culture\/2019\/12\/16\/todays-exercise-is-dogfighting-explosive-new-top-gun-trailer-is-here\/\" target=\"_blank\">has a sequel hitting theaters next summer<\/a>. \u201cGood guy, too, by the way.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There were other matters to discuss, of course, but the president\u2019s enthusiasm for the stunning looks of F-35 pilots was just scratching the surface. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe face is equal, maybe slightly better.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gaze upon the face of Narcissus. But what about those bodies? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe body\u2019s bigger and stronger,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The auditorium\u2019s temperature suddenly began to rise. A fog settled on the glasses of those seated in the first few rows. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;They can definitely fight. They\u2019re the real deal. These guys are so good looking. I said \u2018You could be a movie star, go to Hollywood.\u2019 [They responded] \u2018No sir, I like what I\u2019m doing.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYou\u2019ve got to see them,\u201d Trump continued. \u201cJust like central casting.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He then stepped away for a moment from the topic of arresting looks to discuss the aircraft itself. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI said, \u2018Fellas, how good is this plane?\u2019 They said, \u2018Sir, it\u2019s great.&#8217; Why? \u2018Because the enemy can\u2019t see it.\u2019 That helps. Stealth. It\u2019s actually called \u2018super stealth.\u2019\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With everyone else feeling insecure about their appearance, the president proceeded with the rally as planned, never acknowledging the looks of pilots of all other aircraft. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Peasants. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Want to pilot the top-of-the-line aircraft?
