The Air Force confirmed that a U.S. F-15 crashed in the United Kingdom today and the pilot safely ejected.
The Daily Mail reports that the jet crashed during an exercise around 3:30 p.m. in Lincolnshire. Licolnshire police told the newspaper they responded to calls of a military aircraft reported to be on fire in a field near Spalding.
The Air Force said that the 48th Fighter Wing, RAF Lakenheath, and the Royal Air Force will provide more information as it becomes available.
