The Army announced Friday the names of soldiers selected for promotion to sergeant and staff sergeant in June.
Cutoff scores issued by the Army authorize nearly 2,400 promotions to sergeant and staff sergeant for Regular Army soldiers.
Those promotions are in addition to 534 senior NCO advancements authorized for June 1 in sequence numbers issued May 21 by the Human Resources Command.
The mid-ranks promotions will total 1,542 to sergeant and 830 to staff sergeant, which is about 700 fewer than were authorized for May. The promotions will go to soldiers in a pool of 11,272 eligible specialists and corporals, and 13,448 eligible sergeants.
The senior NCO promotions will total 41 to sergeant major, 139 to master sergeant and 354 to sergeant first class.
