Basic-branch captains of the National Guard and Army Reserve will be considered for promotion to major by a selection board that convenes March 7.
The primary zones of consideration for the mandatory Army Promotion List board are:
- National Guard: captains with O-3 dates of rank of Sept. 1, 2009, through Aug. 31, 2011.
- Army Reserve: captains with O-3 dates of rank of Sept. 1, 2010, through Aug. 31, 2011. Included are members of the Active Guard and Reserve and the non-AGR elements of the Army Reserve.
Below-zone selection opportunities will be available to Army Reserve captains with DOR of Sept. 1, 2010, through Aug. 31, 2011.
As is normal, a BZ category is not authorized for National Guard members.
Officer evaluation reports submitted for this board must arrive at the Human Resources Command by Feb. 29.
OERs for officers in deployed status may be submitted by regular mail, but all others should be sent to the evaluations branch of the Human Resources Command via the Electronic Entry System for preparing and submitting reports on DA Form 67-10 series documents.
Code 9 complete-the-record reports are optional for officers who meet the requirements of Army Regulation 623-3 (Evaluation Reporting System). The required closeout date for such reports is Dec. 1.
Officers can review the documents (official photograph, Officer Record Brief or DA Form 2-1 and performance evaluations) that will be seen by the selection board will see by using the online My Board File application available via the “self-service” link on the Human Resources Command homepage at www.hrc.army.mil.
The My Board File application MBF will open Jan. 7 and close Feb. 29.
