On your mark, get set, register!
The 33rd annual Army Ten-Miler is set for Oct. 8, and priority registration starts Wednesday to secure your spot among 35,000 runners.
Priority registration will open at 7 a.m. Eastern time for service members, as well as for runners who have completed at least seven Army Ten-Milers.
Troops must use a .mil address to register for the race, according to a news release.
General registration will open May 24 at 7 a.m. Eastern time. Individual registration costs $75, and proceeds from the Ten-Miler benefit Morale, Welfare and Recreation programs. Military installations can obtain pre-paid entries for their teams during both registration sessions.

Army Sgt. Augustus Maiyo was the first-place male finisher at the 2016 race. Maiyo led the All-Army Team that swept the top five overall spots and snagged the team’s third straight International Cup, according to the release.
