A coalition service member died Saturday in a noncombat-related incident, according to a release from Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve.

The incident is under investigation, and no other details were immediately available.

The service member’s name and the circumstances surrounding the incident will be released “at the discretion of the pertinent national authorities,” according to the release.

The location of the incident was not released. The task force operates out of Southwest Asia and works to fight ISIS in areas of Iraq and Syria.
