West 2016, which is co-located with the Department of the Navy CIO Conference West Coast, is co-sponsored by AFCEA International and the U.S. Naval Institute.
Retired ADM James Stavridis, who is now dean of the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, will open the conference with a morning keynote address on Feb. 17. Other keynote speakers include:
- VADM Joseph P. Mulloy, Deputy Chief of Naval Operations, Integration of Capabilities and Resources;
- ADM Philip S. Davidson, Commander, U.S. Fleet Forces Command;
- ADM Scott H. Swift, Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet;
- ADM Michael S. Rogers, Director of the National Security Agency and Commander of U.S. Cyber Command.
The conference also features a “Meet the Leaders” series, which includes VADM Jan E. Tighe, Commander of U.S. Fleet Cyber Command; and VADM Ted N. Branch, Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Information Dominance and Director of Naval Intelligence.
Other presentations and panel discussions include an update on the MQ-8 Fire Scout and MH-60 Romeo/Sierra; a discussion of defense innovation led by Jay Cohen, a Principal at the Chertoff Group and former Chief of Naval Research; and a PEO C4I acquisition panel.
