Harris Corp. has been awarded a $29.1 million contract to provide targeting systems for the U.S. Navy and Australia.
The contract calls for 138 Distributed Targeting System Full Rate Production (FRP) 2 and FRP 3 B-kits for F/A-18E/F and EA-18G aircraft, according to the Department of Defense contract announcement. Of that total, 126 will go to the U.S. Navy and 12 to Australia.
The contract also includes 54 operational bulk data cartridges as well as parts obsolescence management. Work is scheduled to be completed by October 2018. Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) awarded the contract.
