FLIR has won a $51.1 million contract from the Defense Department for chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosives (CBRNE) kits.
The five year indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract, a follow-on to a previous full-rate production contract, is for the Dismounted Reconnaissance Sets, Kits, and Outfits (DR SKO) program, according to a FLIR news release. FLIR will provide ” an integrated set of CBRNE detection, identification, sample collection, testing, and personal safety kits that allow personnel to perform site assessment and consequence management missions.”
The kits are scheduled to be delivered from September 2015 through April 2016.
