DISA would like help from industry to develop an understanding of the technologies available for a next-generation endpoint security system.
In a Request for Information published Dec. 5 on FedBizOpps.gov, DISA specified the technical characteristics the system should include, such as:
- Utilize underlying operating system security solutions;
- Enhance those underlying security capabilities;
- Support both high- and low-agility environments;
- Minimize operators and management costs;
- Leverage open standards to manage any set of host-based security tools.
For the full list, read the RFI.
Responses to the RFI are due by Feb. 2. DISA emphasized that there is no competition underway and no proposals are to be submitted.
