BAE Systems Australia has been awarded a $30 million Royal Australian Navy contract for satellite terminal upgrades.
Under the four-year contract, BAE will upgrade Maritime Element of the Advanced SATCOM Terrestrial Infrastructure System communications terminals, according to a BAE news release.
“The upgrade will be achieved through the delivery of vastly increased bandwidth which will provide more efficient usage of defense satellite capacity and enhanced network interoperability between ships, aircraft and land based platforms,” BAE said.
