The Department of Homeland Security has awarded science, engineering and systems integration company Leidos a contract to operate its NextGen Security Operations Center.
The proactive cyber intelligence operations center supports the detection, containment, eradication and reporting of cyber threats to the DHS network and can fulfill vulnerability assessment and risk mitigation technology needs for Homeland Security components.
The contract was originally awarded to Lockheed Martin’s Information Systems & Global Solutions, which merged with Leidos in August 2016.
The single-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has a one-year base period of performance with six one-year options, and is worth $395 million if all options are exercised, according to a news release.
