Elbit has been awarded a contract by Rheinmetall Canada to provide ELSAT 2100 Satellite-on-the-Move (SOTM) systems for use by the military.
The contract value was not disclosed, but Elbit stated that the work would be performed over an 18-month period. The ELSAT 2100 is capable of high-rate data broadband. The Canadian system will also include a compact low-profile antenna for the Ku, X and Ka bands that can access the U.S. Wideband Global SATCOM satellites network.
