The Air Force Research Laboratory has awarded a contract modification to two companies researching human cognition.
Infoscitex Corp. and Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp. will share a $75 million contract modification for the indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity Human Interface Research and Technology contract, according to the Department of Defense contract announcement.
“Contractors will provide additional research regarding the discovery, development, and delivery of revolutionary cognitive engineering, team decision making, human perception, performance, and cognitive technologies to deliver persistent situation awareness and improved warfighter decision making for synchronized Air Force operations in air, space, and cyberspace,” the DoD said.
The contract is scheduled for completion by May 2020.
