Mark Orndorff, currently the Defense Information Systems Agency’s risk management executive, is set to retire from the government after more than 30 years, DISA officials confirm.
Prior to his current assignment in risk management – a newly conferred title under DISA’s recent reorganization – Orndorff served as DISA program executive officer for mission assurance and network operations and chief information assurance executive. He’s held other positions within DISA as well, and also previously worked at Army Training and Doctrine Command. Orndorff additionally served as an Army officer before crossing into his civilian career.

Throughout his career, Orndorff has been heavily involved in cybersecurity issues, including helping to develop and launch DoD guidance and training related to cybersecurity and military use of cloud services.
Orndorff will retire as of Jan. 31, according to a Federal News Radio report.
