Exelis has received the National Security Agency’s “secret and below” certification for a self-encrypting, secure memory stick.
The USB drive uses Exelis’s AARIS-457 and AARIS-777 system-on-a-chip security modules, said a company news release. In 2011, the 457 was certified by NSA for secret and below, and the 777 for top secret and below.
“The knowledge that Exelis has gained during successive rounds of NSA certification will help guide our work on future projects, allowing us to streamline procedures and reduce the associated business risks for our customers,” said Mark Adams, vice president of the company’s specialty applications division.
